Bring your camera and don't forget to take it when you go to the beach, you will see abundant birdlife. We also have resident ducks in the park, and frilly necked lizards. If you get any great wildlife shots around the park we would love you to email them to us to include on our website.
Central Byron Bay is a few minutes drive. The option of public transport is right at the front door. Bus timetables are available at reception. Bring your bicycle; you can ride to the beach.

My name is Dave Greenaway and I am the director of a family orientated surf club. We have 60 members which includes 16 families. We meet annually at different locations and this year it was Byron Bays' turn.
The event takes place in November so by September we had all our accommodation wrapped up, or so we thought.
About 4 weeks out from the event weekend we were notified that our booking had been cancelled due to half of the place being sold ,so could not fit us all in!
As you could imagine, we thought the chances of finding somewhere that could take that many people, that could keep us together AND in the budget, were slim indeed!
As luck would have it, one of my first calls was to the Byron Bay Tourist Park.
To cut a long story short, I will say that from that very first phone call my experience with the park and the staff there has been commendable.
Not only did they get us all in but everyone from the office staff to the grounds men did all they could to make our stay a good one. The rooms were all clean and well presented and their amenities are perfect whether you are a group booking or an individual backpacker.
I have no hesitation to recommend The Byron Bay Tourist Park as a great place to stay on your next visit to the area.
